Women Leadership - The Gender Crisis in corporate



Women born empowered; they just need opportunity to prove themselves. We all as a human being whether men and women need to create these opportunities for the women in this world.


1st of all I would like to wish you all a very happy women’s day to all the women on this earth.


At the same time on this women day, I would like to share some of the eye-opening research relating to participation of women in Indian corporates.


This is very important to know, how women are empowered in India and how much more we need to empower them specially in corporate leadership roles.


You will be surprised to know that in Indian corporate there are only 20% women in the leadership level role and this is a great area of concern and a big gender crisis in corporates.


But the more interesting part of the research is that; the gender crisis in corporates is not there at entry level, as per research around 48% of women join the workforce compare to 52% male which is very good as per the demographic male/female ration in India.


The real problem starts for the women at Mid-career where only around 20% of the women are able to grow up to the leadership level role.

Unless women’s participation in leadership is going to increase this gender crisis, diversity and inclusion will just remain the matter of Intellectual discussions.


As per my research it has to be taken care at the beginning of midcareer level, where managing the expectation for a woman in Life, career and relationship become very challenging and they have very limited choice to decide.
